To Be List vs To Do List
Whether we write them down or not, we all have To Do lists. Those things we need to get done during the week or day. Many of us get caught up and overwhelmed at the size of our lists. We have no idea how we will get it all done. When we don’t, we feel like we failed or vow to work even harder and for more hours of the day.
But, friend, when you view your list through the eyes of Jesus, you realize that your To Be list matters more than your To Do list.
Broken or Restored
While the world tells you to work longer and harder, He invites you to be at rest with Him. One way will break you until you have nothing left to give. One way will restore you so you can finish the work. You can choose TO DO or you can choose TO BE.
When you keep your focus on who He calls you To Be, you can approach what He calls you To Do from a place of joyful rest and restoration.
“For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.” Psalms 63:7
