Even Nature Needs Time to Rest

Winter reminds me that even nature needs time to rest and retreat to its roots. And while we can’t see what God is doing to the trees, we can trust that Spring will come. Imagine how much more glorious His plans are for us. We, too, can abide in His truth that the season of singing will come.

We don’t need to see God at work with the trees in the winter to trust that He will bring them to flower in the Spring. So, why do we feel anxious or worried when we can’t see what He is doing in our lives during our winter seasons?

“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth, the season of singing has come…” Song of Songs 2:11-12
