More than for Easter Sunday

The rest and joy you experience by remembering His Resurrection isn’t reserved for Easter Sunday. It’s meant for your everyday living.

Christians around the world celebrated Easter this past weekend by remembering all that Jesus did for us. When we take the time to remember the Lord, our sense of rest and peace and joy increases. It’s not just something reserved for Easter Sunday. You can experience this on Monday, too...or any other day of the week.

But. Here’s the key. You must make the choice to remember. The world would have you forget. Your flesh tries to keep your focus on your present circumstances and not on God’s big picture of RESCUE and REDEMPTION and eternal REST with and in Him.

YES. Remembering is a simple act but your simple act draws you closer to a mighty God. And when you rest in His shadow, you experience peace and rest and joy in your life.

If you want to stop living your life from a place of stress and striving and start walking in joy and rest, then remember the Lord. Remember Who He is. Remember who you are to Him and how He has delivered you in the past.

Rest can be found in the remembering.

How has God helped you in the past? Think back and remember and thank Him.

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.” Psalm 77:11 NIV
